We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

This privacy policy applies to the Golfmerce mobile application ("Application") created by Golfmerce Inc. ("Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide a secure marketplace and social experience, the Application collects the following information:

  • Contact Information: Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and Physical Address (for shipping and billing).
  • Financial Information: Payment Info (processed via secure third-party providers) and other financial details required for marketplace transactions.
  • Identifiers: User ID (account details) and Device ID.
  • Location Data: Precise Location (GPS) and/or Coarse Location to facilitate "Local Pickup" features and show relevant regional listings.
  • User Content: Photos or Videos (item listings), Customer Support communications, and other content you post to the "Clubhouse."
  • Usage & Diagnostics: Purchase History, Product Interactions (taps, views), and Crash Data (technical logs to improve stability).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • App Functionality: To process orders, manage your account, and enable the social "Clubhouse" features.
  • Product Personalization: To suggest golf gear and content based on your browsing and purchase history.
  • Analytics: To understand how users interact with the app and improve our services.

Communication: We use your Email and Phone Number for security alerts, transactional updates (shipping/orders), and marketing promotions (where you have opted in).

3 How You Opt In to Receive SMS Messages

You may provide consent to receive SMS messages from Golfmerce through one or more of the following methods.Important: In all cases, you must actively take an action (check a box, tap a button, or send a text). We never use pre-checked boxes or automatic enrollment.

1 During Account Registration

When you create an account in the Golfmerce app or website, you'll see this checkbox:

By checking this box, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Consent is not required to make a purchase."

2 In-App Settings

In your Golfmerce app → Account Settings → Notifications, toggle SMS notifications on. You'll see:
"Enable SMS notifications to receive order updates, exclusive deals, and golf news via text. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help."

3 At Checkout

During checkout, you can opt-in to order updates with this checkbox:
☑️ "Send me order updates via text message. By checking this box, I agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Golfmerce about my order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt-out."

4 Website Newsletter Signup

On www.golfmerce.com, enter your phone number to subscribe with this disclosure:
"By submitting your phone number, you agree to receive marketing text messages from Golfmerce. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. View Privacy Policy and Terms."

5 Text-to-Join (Keyword Subscription)

Text the keyword "GOLF" or "JOIN" to our short code. You'll immediately receive:
"Welcome to Golfmerce! You'll receive exclusive golf deals and updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Privacy: golfmerce.com/privacy-policy"

Note: Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from non-essential SMS. Essential transactional & security messages continue while your account is active.

Mobile Information Privacy: We do not sell or share mobile or personal data with third parties, affiliates, or partners for marketing or promotional purposes. We only share data with third parties when it is strictly necessary to deliver our service and only under binding agreements that ensure confidentiality. Under no circumstances will mobile data be shared or sold for advertising or promotional use.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share data with trusted service providers to facilitate app operations (e.g., payment processors, shipping carriers, and SMS providers). These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Third-Party Services used: Google Play Services, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Facebook (Meta).

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. To request data deletion, please email info@golfmerce.com. We will respond and remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

6. Child Safety Standards & CSAM Policy

Golfmerce Inc. maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding the endangerment of children. In compliance with Google Play Child Safety Standards and applicable laws, we enforce the following:

Prohibition of CSAE

We strictly prohibit the creation, upload, or distribution of content that facilitates Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). This includes child grooming, sexualization of minors, trafficking, or sextortion.

Zero Tolerance for CSAM

Any visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct (Child Sexual Abuse Material or CSAM) is strictly prohibited. Upon obtaining actual knowledge, we will immediately remove such content and disable the offending account.

Mandatory Reporting

We comply with all applicable laws and report confirmed cases of CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant law enforcement authorities.

In-App Reporting

Users can report suspicious content or behavior directly in the app using the 'Report' button on profiles/listings or via the Support section.

7. Security

We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards (including encryption) to protect the confidentiality of your information.
